Statement on the attack Chabad of Poway Synagogue in California

The Jewish Community Council of Montreal mourns the tragic loss of life as well as injuries, in California’s Chabad Poway centre. As congregants gathered to pray and celebrate the Passover Festival of Freedom , a cowardly act took place. As we say in the Haggadah, in every generation they will rise up to destroy, however the One Above will save us from their hands. With prayer, unity and strength, whilst carrying out good deeds we will succeed in making the world a better place for all.
