Chanukah at her Majesty’s Loyal Official Opposition

Rabbi Saul Emanuel was pleased to attend a beautiful Chanukah Party at the home of the Honorable Andrew Scheer. Mr Scheers friendship to our community is one that is deep and appreciated.

Guests from across Canada’s Jewish Community and friends were treated to a wonderful buffet. Mr Scheer addressed the crowd reaffirming his commitment to the Jewish Community, the fight against anti-Semitism, and his staunch support for Israel. He added that the Conservative party will always be at the forefront in their support of the Jewish Community.

After the lighting of the Chanukah candles by Rabbi Mendelsohn, Rabbi Saul Emanuel addressed the crowd and brought greetings from the Jewish community. During his address Rabbi Emanuel praised Andrew Scheer for being a true leader, unifier and a person of great courage, when it’s needed most. He continued by describing the current events of hate, violence and attacks on Jewish institutions. He thanked Mr. Scheer for his continued support to our community.
