Jewish Community Councils Biur Chametz 2024
What a heartwarming tradition! It’s truly special to witness the unity and spirit of the community coming together for such a meaningful mitzvah. The annual chametz burning held by the Jewish Community Council on Erev Pesach is not just a ritual but a symbol of collective faith and camaraderie. These pictures capture the essence of togetherness and the beauty of tradition in action. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength and solidarity within the community.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mayor Gracia Kasoki Katahwa for her invaluable support in
making this event happen. Her efforts in ensuring the covering of no-parking signs over Pesach prevented any unnecessary tickets while we were unable to move our cars. We also express our gratitude to Mayor Salzberg, the dedicated bochurim who helped direct traffic, and the incredible police force for their outstanding service. Special thanks also go to the extra garbage collection team on-site for managing the disposal of additional chametz. Together, we made this mitzvah even more beautiful.
