Eruv Tavshilin Reminder for Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret

Eruv Tavshilin Reminder for Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret

As the Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret holidays approach, it’s important to remember the mitzvah of Eruv Tavshilin. This special tradition allows us to prepare food on Yom Tov (holiday) for Shabbat when the two days are adjacent.

Key Dates:

  • Erev Sukkot: Wednesday, October 16
  • Erev Shemini Atzeret: Wednesday, October 23

An Eruv Tavshilin is made on the day before the holiday starts, which enables you to cook and bake for Shabbat on the holiday itself.

Don’t forget to perform this important mitzvah on these dates to ensure you can continue your preparations for Shabbat!

Wishing you a Gut Yom Tov!
